VISTORBELITUNG.COM,Islamabad – In a significant escalation of tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, Pakistan's military has confirmed the deaths of 55 Indian soldiers following a targeted operation codenamed "Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos" (The Solid Fortress) along the disputed Kashmir border.

According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan's military wing, the operation was launched in response to "repeated ceasefire violations and aggressive maneuvers by Indian forces" in the Line of Control (LoC) region.

The operation reportedly involved precision strikes on Indian military outposts, resulting in heavy casualties on the Indian side. The ISPR claimed that Pakistani forces successfully neutralized multiple Indian bunkers and artillery positions while suffering minimal losses.

Indian defense officials have yet to issue an official statement confirming the number of casualties. However, sources within the Indian Army acknowledged an "intense exchange of fire" but denied the scale of losses claimed by Pakistan.

Indian media outlets, citing military sources, reported that at least 12 soldiers were killed and several others injured in what they described as an "unprovoked attack" by Pakistani forces.

The latest clash marks one of the deadliest confrontations between India and Pakistan since the 2019 Balakot airstrikes. Both nations have accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreement signed in 2021, with frequent skirmishes reported along the LoC.

International observers, including the United Nations, have called for restraint from both sides, urging a return to diplomatic dialogue to avoid further escalation.

Global Reactions, United States: The White House expressed concern over the rising tensions and encouraged both nations to de-escalate. China,Beijing, a close ally of Pakistan, called for a peaceful resolution through bilateral talks. Russia Moscow emphasized the need for adherence to existing ceasefire agreements.

With both nations on high alert, the risk of further military engagement remains. Analysts warn that without immediate mediation, the situation could spiral into a larger conflict.
