VISTORBELITUNG.COM, U.S. CENTRAL COMMAND — General Ken Wilsbach, Commander of Pacific Air Forces, arrived at U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) headquarters this week, engaging directly with deployed U.S. Airmen and emphasizing their critical role in preserving security across a strategically vital region.
During his visit, General Wilsbach underscored the indispensable contributions of Air Force personnel operating in the CENTCOM area of responsibility—a zone spanning key parts of the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Horn of Africa. From aerial surveillance and airlift operations to cyber defense and rapid response capabilities, U.S. Airmen provide the agility and airpower necessary to address diverse and evolving challenges.
“Our deployed Airmen are vital to maintaining stability and security in this critical region,” General Wilsbach stated. “Their expertise, readiness, and professionalism directly contribute to deterrence and to the protection of U.S. and allied interests.”
Accompanied by Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force (CMSAF) David A. Wolfe, the general met with Airmen across multiple units, discussing operational realities and recognizing their day-to-day sacrifices. The leadership duo reinforced the principle that enduring peace is underpinned by sustained strength a strength embodied by the force’s preparedness and resolve.
“CMSAF Wolfe and I couldn’t be prouder of their commitment to peace through strength,” General Wilsbach added. “Every Airman here represents more than a capability they represent a promise. A promise that the United States remains committed to stability, to our partners, and to a future where security enables prosperity.”
The visit also served as an opportunity to reinforce integration between combatant commands and to share best practices in air operations across theaters. As global challenges grow more interconnected, such exchanges strengthen the Air Force’s ability to operate seamlessly worldwide.
At the close of his tour, General Wilsbach reiterated his confidence in CENTCOM’s Airmen, praising their dedication and the tangible impact of their mission. “What you do here matters not just for this region, but for global security. You are the embodiment of our nation’s resolve.”
