The Challenge: Building the Core Trading Engine
The OTC Desk Team is responsible for building a proprietary platform that facilitates large, direct, off-exchange trades with major financial institutions and VIP clients. Your work will be crucial for the firm's expansion into client-facing execution services.
Key Responsibilities:
• System Design & Implementation: Design and implement the high-performance backend of the proprietary OTC trading system, primarily using Rust.
• API Development: Design and build resilient Web APIs to support the core system operations, internal trading interfaces, and client-facing execution services.
• Exchange Integration: Maintain and expand low-latency integrations with various cryptocurrency exchanges through custom APIs.
• Automation & Resilience: Develop comprehensive monitoring, testing, and deployment automations to ensure the platform is highly resilient and scalable, prioritizing system uptime.
• Performance Optimization: Aggressively optimize for performance and low latency in all components, understanding that small technical mistakes have a significant financial impact.
• Technical Ownership: Work independently and iterate quickly in a low-bureaucracy environment, taking full ownership of your projects from inception to production.
• Cross-functional Contribution: Contribute to adjacent areas, including capital allocation logic, payment processes, and data pipelines.
What We're Looking For
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining complex, mission-critical backend systems (e.g., deep tech, financial applications, high-throughput systems).
• Technical Proficiency: Strong production-level experience with Rust (or other compiled, high-performance languages like C++ or Go) is highly preferred.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional ability to problem-solve and validate cause-and-effect relationships in complex distributed systems.
• Systems Knowledge: Solid understanding of programming concepts, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. Experience with trading systems, order management systems (OMS), or financial engineering is a significant plus.
• Mindset: A high-sense of responsibility, meticulous attention to detail, and a "get-stuff-done" attitude, thriving in a high-ownership environment.
• Travel: Willingness to undertake regular business trips to Latvia for team collaboration and planning.
