Key Responsibilities
As a core member of our engineering team, your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of our trading platform. You will:
• Design & Optimize: Lead the design, development, and optimization of high-performance backend systems written in Rust, focusing on low-latency data processing and execution.
• API Development: Build and maintain real-time APIs (e.g., REST, WebSockets) for data streaming, trade routing, and platform synchronization with external exchanges.
• Scalability & Resilience: Architect and implement fault-tolerant, scalable, and highly available services capable of handling massive volumes of market data and transactions.
• Infrastructure: Work with essential technologies like Apache Kafka (for stream processing), Redis (for caching and messaging), and containerization tools (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Collaboration: Work closely with traders, quants, and other developers to translate trading strategies and feature requests into robust, well-tested code.
• DevOps & Security: Implement monitoring, observability (Prometheus/Grafana), and automation for production services, ensuring top-tier backend security.
What We're Looking For
• Senior-Level Experience: Proven track record (5+ years of general experience, with significant time in a senior role) in backend software development, ideally within FinTech, HFT, or a demanding Web3 environment.
• Rust Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Rust is mandatory, with a deep understanding of its ecosystem, performance optimization, and asynchronous programming.
• Trading Systems Knowledge: Strong practical experience building or maintaining components of a trading platform, such as order management systems (OMS), market data feed handlers, or risk engines.
• Real-Time Data: Solid experience with real-time communication protocols (e.g., WebSockets, gRPC) and message brokers like Kafka.
• Web3 Familiarity (Nice to Have): Knowledge of blockchain protocols, smart contracts, or decentralized exchange (DEX) integration is a plus.
• Engineering Excellence: Commitment to writing clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code; experience with CI/CD and production monitoring.
• Remote Ready: Excellent communication skills (English fluency) and the ability to thrive in a full-remote, asynchronous environment.
