The Role: Building the Future of AI Automation
We're hiring a Backend Engineer with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be a key contributor to a brand new initiative, building the foundation for our AI operations from the ground up. You'll be at the forefront of a new era for our company, leveraging your system engineering skills to create innovative, AI-powered solutions that streamline processes and enhance our services.
What You'll Be Doing 💻
Your primary mission will be to design, develop, and deploy our new AI automation functions. This is a role for a hands-on engineer who thrives on tackling complex, non-deterministic challenges.
• AI Agent Management & Evaluation: You'll manage our AI agents and ensure system availability for our internal teams. A core responsibility is designing and monitoring pipelines to evaluate agent performance, tracking conversations and outcomes to measure and improve reliability.
• System Development: You'll build and implement robust evaluation pipelines, identify opportunities for enhancement, and implement solutions to boost efficiency and drive iterative improvements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: You'll work closely with other teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions. This requires excellent communication skills, as you'll be explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Who We're Looking For
We're searching for a talented backend engineer who is ready to make a significant impact.
• Experience: You should have at least 4 years of backend engineering experience, with a solid understanding of our tech stack (Node.js/TypeScript, Express.js, MongoDB/MySQL, AWS, and Kubernetes). Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a big plus.
• AI/LLM Knowledge: You must have a strong enthusiasm for AI advancements and practical experience with LLMs or AI agent frameworks. Please be ready to provide proof of your work, such as a portfolio or open-source contributions.
• Technical Skills: You're familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for deploying and managing AI systems. Experience with Docker and machine configuration is also highly valued.
• Mindset: You're a proactive problem-solver who can take initiative in a remote environment. You have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for turning roadblocks into technical solutions.
