VISTORBELITUNG.COM,Within the world of The SCP Foundation, anomalous objects are categorized by their level of danger and containment difficulty, from "Safe" to "Keter" and "Thaumiel." However, there is one entry that has always been the greatest mystery: SCP-001.
Unlike other anomalous objects, SCP-001 is not a single entry. Instead, it is a collection of various proposals, each written by prominent members of The Foundation. This concept was intentionally created for several reasons:
To Conceal the True Identity: By having many different SCP-001 entries, no one knows which one is the "real" SCP-001. This acts as a layer of security to protect information about an entity that could be the greatest threat to humanity.
To Test Loyalty: In some stories, "SCP-001" is merely a decoy used by The Foundation to test the loyalty of their personnel.
To Enrich the Lore: This system allows writers to create many original stories that could potentially become the foundation of the entire SCP lore.
Some of the most famous and frequently discussed SCP-001 proposals include:
"When Day Breaks": This proposal tells the story of the Sun suddenly emitting anomalous radiation that transforms all living things into a corrosive, aggressive mass of flesh, which then tries to absorb other living beings. This creates an apocalyptic scenario where survival is only possible indoors or underground.
"The Gate Guardian": This proposal describes a gigantic angelic figure with fiery wings standing at the gate of the Garden of Eden. Anyone who approaches it is incinerated, and it is believed to be a guardian blocking the path to the tree of knowledge.
"The Factory": This proposal recounts the origin of The Foundation itself as an organization created to stop an anomalous factory that constantly produces dangerous objects.
SCP-001 is a perfect example of the narrative flexibility within The SCP Foundation. Rather than a single, definitive story, this entry offers a variety of possibilities, allowing readers and writers to imagine and debate which one might be the most authentic.
