VISTORBELITUNG.COM,TAIPEI – In a forceful display of defensive readiness, Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense (MND) has released a series of images documenting large-scale mobilization exercises conducted over the last several days. These maneuvers come as a direct response to the "Justice Mission 2025" drills recently launched by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
The high-intensity readiness exercises were designed to test the speed, coordination, and combat effectiveness of Taiwan's ground and coastal defense forces under simulated invasion scenarios.
The exercise saw the activation of several of the Army’s most storied units. According to military reports, portions of the following formations were deployed to strategic "red zones" across the island:
The 564th and 584th Armored Brigades: Known for their heavy strike capability, these units moved main battle tanks and armored fighting vehicles into concealed positions to practice counter-amphibious landing operations. The 333rd and 269th Mechanized Infantry Brigades: These "high-readiness" units focused on urban defense and rapid reinforcement, securing vital infrastructure and transport hubs.
Beyond ground maneuvers, the MND highlighted the critical role of asymmetric warfare assets. Photos released by the military showed Mobile Air Defense Units: Personnel were seen deploying short-to-medium range surface-to-air missiles, aimed at countering low-altitude aerial incursions and drone swarms.
Anti-Ship Missile Formations: Truck-mounted Hsiung Feng missile batteries were relocated to coastal hideouts, demonstrating the "shoot-and-scoot" tactics intended to deny an enemy fleet access to the Taiwan Strait.
"The goal of these exercises is to ensure that every soldier, from the frontline infantry to the missile technician, is prepared for the transition from peace to war at a moment's notice," a senior defense official stated.
The timing of these exercises is no coincidence. As the "Justice Mission 2025" drills increase regional tensions, Taipei is signaling its resolve to both domestic and international audiences. The imagery released emphasizes a military that is not only equipped with modern hardware but is also actively maintaining a high state of operational discipline.
While the MND has not disclosed the exact duration of these counter-maneuvers, the presence of these elite brigades in the field serves as a clear deterrent, reinforcing the island's "porcupine strategy" of making any potential aggression prohibitively costly.
