VISTORBELITUNG.COM,TANJUNG PANDAN, BANGKA BELITUNG - The internet is once again abuzz with a heated discussion about a rather controversial conspiracy theory: the existence of a humanoid reptilian race secretly controlling the world. This theory, once considered mere fiction, has resurfaced and is attracting the attention of many netizens. So, where did this story actually originate and who is the key figure who first spread it?

The narrative about reptilian beings disguising themselves as humans and occupying important positions in society is not a new phenomenon. However, its popularity soared with the emergence of the name David Icke, a former professional footballer and television presenter from England.

In the early 1990s, David Icke began to develop and widely disseminate his theory. Through his controversial books such as "The Biggest Secret," published in 1999, Icke explicitly stated that the world is controlled by an interdimensional humanoid reptilian race originating from the Draco constellation.

According to Icke's view, these beings have the ability to shapeshift into human form and have been operating on Earth for thousands of years. Furthermore, he accused numerous world political figures, celebrities, and even members of royal families of being part of the disguised reptilian race. Icke also links the existence of this reptilian race to various secret organizations and global agendas that he believes aim to oppress and manipulate humanity.

Before Icke's emergence, traces of narratives about powerful and mysterious extraterrestrial beings can be found in the works of Zecharia Sitchin. In 1976, Sitchin published "The 12th Planet," which interpreted ancient Sumerian and Mesopotamian myths. He claimed the existence of a humanoid alien race called the Anunnaki from the planet Nibiru who came to Earth to mine gold and created humans through genetic engineering. Although Sitchin did not directly refer to the Anunnaki as reptilians, his descriptions laid the foundation for future alien conspiracy theories.

The conspiracy theory of the reptilian race has spread even further with the development of the internet and social media. Various online platforms have become a forum for proponents of this theory to share information, discuss, and strengthen their beliefs. YouTube videos, online forums, and social media groups have become effective means of disseminating this narrative to a wider audience.

In addition, conferences and seminars held by David Icke and other figures who support this theory also attract the attention of many people seeking alternative explanations for various world events.

Despite having many followers, the conspiracy theory of the reptilian race is not supported by credible scientific evidence. Most scientists and academics consider it pseudoscience and a product of excessive imagination. However, this does not diminish the interest of some people in this narrative, which is considered interesting and mysterious.

The existence of the reptilian race conspiracy theory is an interesting social phenomenon to observe. How can an idea that originated from the interpretation of myths and the views of an individual spread widely and influence the thinking of many people? This is certainly a question that continues to linger in the minds of social and psychological observers.

What do you think? Do reptilian beings really exist and control the world behind the scenes? Or is this just an interesting conspiracy theory without a strong basis? Discuss in the comments column!
