VISTORBELITUNG.COM,Abu Dhabi, UAE – In a significant trilateral engagement, India, the United Arab Emirates, and Israel have agreed on a comprehensive roadmap comprising fresh initiatives and concrete actions to substantially deepen cooperation across multiple sectors. The agreement was finalized during talks between India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, and UAE’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi.

The ministers, co-chairing the 16th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting and the fifth Strategic Dialogue, conducted a thorough review of the existing partnership. The discussions spanned a wide spectrum of critical areas, including trade and investment, energy security, defence, cutting-edge technology, healthcare, and education.

“Our meeting today was very productive. We have not only reviewed our progress but have also charted a forward-looking, action-oriented roadmap,” stated EAM Jaishankar following the talks. “The convergence of interests between India, the UAE, and Israel in areas like technology, energy, and economic growth presents a unique opportunity. This roadmap will institutionalize our trilateral cooperation for tangible outcomes.”

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the strategic nature of the partnership. “The UAE values its deep-rooted ties with both India and Israel. Today’s dialogue was focused on translating our shared vision into a structured plan of action. We are committed to enhancing collaboration in fields that will drive sustainable growth and innovation for our peoples.”

Key Pillars of the Roadmap:

While the full details of the initiatives are to be operationalized by working groups, the agreed-upon roadmap is expected to focus on:

1. Trade & Investment: Building on the existing India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), the roadmap aims to facilitate greater trilateral trade, investment flows, and joint ventures, particularly in strategic sectors.

2. Technology & Innovation: A major thrust is anticipated on collaborative projects in domains like Artificial Intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, and space technology, leveraging the strengths of the three nations.

3. Energy Security & Sustainability: Cooperation is set to expand beyond traditional hydrocarbons to include renewable energy, green hydrogen, and climate-friendly technologies, aligning with each country’s sustainability goals.

4. Defence & Maritime Security: Enhancing partnerships in defence industries, maritime security in the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean Region, and strategic dialogue is a key component.

5. Food Security & Healthcare: Building resilient supply chains for food and critical healthcare products, along with joint research in health-tech, forms a vital part of the cooperation agenda.

6. People-to-People Ties: The roadmap includes measures to foster greater cultural exchange, mobility of professionals, and academic collaboration between universities and research institutions.

The formation of this trilateral framework between India, the UAE, and Israel marks a new chapter in West Asian and Indian Ocean geopolitics. It represents a pragmatic alignment of complementary economies and strategic interests, moving beyond traditional diplomacy to a project-based partnership aimed at delivering concrete economic and technological benefits.

The ministries and relevant agencies from the three countries are now tasked with implementing the agreed-upon steps, with progress to be reviewed in subsequent high-level meetings.
