We are seeking a visionary and driven Business Development Lead to own and execute our growth strategy across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This is a high-impact role for someone who lives and breathes Web3, possesses an extensive network, and can strategically forge partnerships that drive long-term value for the KernelDAO ecosystem. You will be the face and spearhead of our efforts in one of the most dynamic and crucial markets for blockchain adoption.
Key Responsibilities
· Strategy & Ownership: Develop and own the comprehensive BD strategy for the APAC region, aligning with KernelDAO’s global objectives.
· Partnership Cultivation: Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships with key ecosystem players, including other DAOs, DeFi protocols, NFT platforms, gaming studios, infrastructure providers, and venture studios.
· Deal Execution: Lead the full partnership lifecycle from initial outreach and relationship building to structuring deals, closing agreements, and supporting integration.
· Market Intelligence: Serve as the regional expert, providing insights on competitive landscape, emerging trends, regulatory nuances, and new opportunities in APAC.
· Community & Brand Amplification: Represent KernelDAO at major conferences, virtual events, and in private forums. Build our brand presence as a thought leader and reliable partner in the region.
· Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with our product, governance, and marketing teams to ensure partnerships are successfully implemented and leveraged.
· Proven Web3 Native: You have 3+ years of experience in a BD, partnerships, or ecosystem role within the blockchain/cryptocurrency industry. You understand DAO mechanics, DeFi primitives, and the cultural nuances of Web3.
· APAC Network & Expertise: You have a deep, existing network across APAC's Web3 landscape (e.g., Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Australia, etc.) and a proven track record of doing deals in the region.
· Strategic Deal-Maker: You are a results-oriented self-starter with a demonstrable history of sourcing, negotiating, and closing high-value partnerships.
· Excellent Communicator: You possess exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills. You can articulate complex ideas simply and persuasively.
· Autonomous & Driven: You thrive in a remote, async environment. You are proactive, can manage your own pipeline, and are motivated by the challenge of building from the ground up.
