SCP-1128 is a hostile aquatic entity that manifests only in large bodies of water (such as oceans, seas, and large lakes) when a subject thinks about it while on or in the water. The entity is a conceptual hazard; the mere knowledge of its existence is what causes it to manifest and attack.


Subjects who learn about SCP-1128 describe it as a massive, predatory marine creature of immense size and incredible speed. However, its exact appearance is inconsistent among witnesses, with descriptions ranging from a prehistoric whale to a monstrous kraken or a terrestrial leviathan. The common factor in all descriptions is its overwhelming size and malevolent nature.


Once a subject is aware of SCP-1128, they are at risk of being targeted by it whenever they are on or near a large body of water. The subject will perceive SCP-1128 appearing in the water, often moving at a speed that defies known physics, and will be pulled into the water and [REDACTED]. No subject has ever survived an encounter after the entity has fully manifested.
